Jason Evans has been tattooing since February of 1999. Jason got into tattooing like many people do...by getting tattooed! While attending college in Iowa to become a chiropractor, Jason recieved his first tattoo shortly after his oldest daughter was born. Having designed the tattoo himself, the artist that did the tattoo complimented Jason's artwork. Later, Jason designed another tattoo and once again, the artist that tattooed him complimented Jason's drawing. Soon after, Jason started designing tattoos for friends and eventually bought some professional equipemnt and started tattooing.
Jason rented a small room in the back of the Aberdeen Smoke Shop in Aberdeen, SD where he basically began his career. After a while of working there and traveling to a shop in MN, Jason moved to Baton Rouge, LA where he and his former apprentice worked. Due to personal conflicts, Jason's apprentice moved back to SD and Jason wound up back in Iowa where he worked at an existing shop for roughly three years. In January of 2005, Jason opened the Neon Dragon Tattoo and Piercing Parlor.
Jason is a mulit-award winning tattoo artist who loves to tattoo pretty much any style of artwork. His tattoo flash designs are available on several websites and through tattoo equipment distributors such as Kingpin Tattoo Supply.
Jason also has been playing guitar for over 20 years and has a band that can be found at www.myspace.com/tattooedwhitetrashmusic
Jason is a dedicated business owner, artist, father, and husband who believes strongly in faith and family. Jason does not do any blasphemous tattoos as he is a Christian. Feel free to stop by the shop anytime and check out his work!
